if there is one person i would marry on the spot without ever having met it would be julie doiron. i love her. her voice, her lyrics, the way she strums the guitar makes me feel like she is sitting next to my bed telling me about her life. it is great. this record doesn't exactly lose that quality, but it does not maybe go as deep as others. some of these songs just aren't as (cheesy as it sounds) moving. what do i mean by that. i guess i mean she just feels further away. she still has the voice but maybe she is holding something back, something that the other albums feel more open about. instead of sitting next to my bed she is in the other room and i am eavesdropping. there are still some great songs on here and you should hear them.
