i am back in the suburbs. or as my mom would say "my real home". i have come back to play at elevate this weekend and hang out with my friend chris who has been in ireland for the past month. but before that. all i have eaten today is a terrible egg, sausage, and cheese sandwich which i bought at 7 eleven only because i needed cash back and i hadn't eaten breakfast, but the stupid touch screen pen that i tried to press debit on went to credit and screwed everything up. i tried to explain this to the lady behind the counter but she didn't seem interested. so i stopped at the fifth third bank that is on the way to the metra. this sandwich was gross. i should have known this before i bought it. previously i tried and microwave cheese burger and a microwave burrito, both were terrible. never eat attempts at real food at 7 eleven. they will only bring you pain. but whatever it filled my stomach for awhile.

so i get on the train and start to read the book i have been reading and the chapters that i read on the train were actually very interesting and funny. the first one being about chuck's fascination with serial killers, which made me right away think about natalie. my lovely girlfriend, who also has a fascination with serial killers. she should read this chapter. she would find it very funny. right now she is probably trying to fall asleep in either the back of her parents mini van or in a distant hotel. i miss her.

so chris picked me up from the train and we caught up as good buddy's do. and we chilled out at my house and watched tv and talked about whatever. my dad had to go to a funeral today (for someone i did not know) so i was suppose to take my brother out for dinner at chipotle. a great idea. so after picking up some reading material at the library chris and i picked him up and we ate. it was a strange meal. i hadn't seen my brother in maybe two weeks and he was somewhat unresponsive, which is normal i guess, but being with a friend (chris) made him more quiet. i guess. we discussed our opinions on cars and the deconstruction of civilivation. it was interesting.

then we watched some more tv before deciding to visit steve and nate and brandon and others in wheaton where they are playing music at a camp thing. it was good to see them. i even saw mark novelli, my old small group leader whom i have tremendous respect for. the service that night was about the jewish passover which i couldn't really seem to concentrate on. but none of this was in context to me seeing that the camp was almost over and i had missed so much. the band was great though. everyone did a real good job. i was impressed. somewhat. i knew they were good.

the night ended with chris and i deciding not to meet up with everyone at denny's afterwards due to the fact that chris has to be up for work at 4. another reason i am glad i did not get that starbucks job. so i am home now. obviously. and i am hungry.
